Fibre Channel Routing - HELP!

We have 2 switches, both on v7.3.2, one with the FCR license and a backbone ID of 10, with the main FID of 128. The 2nd Swtich has an FID of 128 and already defined zones.

We have followed the FCR instructions which appears in the FCR config;

This mentions supplying a fabric ID for the fabric to which the port will be connected (128), yet when we do, it says there is a conflict.

If I make it unique (FID127) then the 2nd switch appears in the LSAN zone;

But nothing appears in the zoning config on either switch;

We are at a loss as to how to create a zone or lsan zone which will allow us to share resources from switch 1 to a device on switch 2.

Any further assistance on this new system would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Fibre Channel Routing - HELP!

Yes configured a base switch.

Switches are HP6000SN and Storageworks 8/24

Both running Brocade FOS 7.3.2

Re: Fibre Channel Routing - HELP!

You have to have three unique FIDs in this setup, and you have to have physical ISL connections going from edge FIDs into the FCR FID. Even if one of the edge FIDs is sharing the chassis with FCR, they have to be connected with E to EX port ISL (or IFL - that's how we usually call it)
