Dear community,
We have a Customer installed with DS-300B switches, HP servers with Qlogic HBAs and EMC² VNX storage.
Recently we had an issue there, where the whole fabric was impacted, slowing down quite a bit. We investigated and found out that an optical cable was faulty. The fabric went up normally after the cable change.
Here's my question : is there a port isolation technique that can be activated in the DS-300B?
Generally speaking, is there a way we prevent a simple faulty cable to bring the fabric down?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
use port fencing - assuming MAPS - to disable the port on CRC as in this example.
