Interoperability matrix between M5424 and MDS

Hello,

We plan to upgrade the M5424 from FOS 7.0.1 to 7.4.1b. The  Brocade switch is connected in access gateway mode to MDS9509 NX-OS 6.2(3).

I didn't find any interoperability matrix.

May you help me?

is the Cisco a Old MDS 9509 Chassis ? I ask because you wrote ->NX-OS 6.2(3)

last time i worked with Old Cisco MDS, i know with OS 5.x

It show from a new Matrix Guide, that Old MDS as be removed, but if the 5424 is set in AG Mode and on MDS NPIV is configured, then you should be able 99% without a problem in newest FOS Release to Interop with the MDS.

is the 5424 currect in productive environments with the MDS ?

The M5424 is in a DELL M100 chassis and is connected to our core SAN (MDS9509) in AG mode.

So you validate that FOS 7.4 will be compatible with MDS9509 6.2(3)?

I'm confident that should work, but cannot give you any warranty.

I would suggest to Uprade one step Release at a time first to 7.1.x and monitoring if all work fine for a couple of day, then proceed with next FOS Release 7.2.x and so on.

If you have a doubt, then open a TAC with Brocade.
