Re: Fabric Manager pWWN - how to configure?

I finally got my answer via EMC. The solution is simple, yet TIME CONSUMING.

(d,p) ZONING works just like VLANs, so I assumed that pWWN ZONING would work the same way - I was wrong. In (d,p) Zoning, if you have 3 hosts & 1 StorageArray, you will need 1 ZONE. If

you have 3 hosts & 2 StorageArrays, you will still only need 1 ZONE.

pWWN zoning need a zone for every "HOST - StorageArray " connection. In other words, if you have 3 hosts & 1 StorageArray, you will need 3 ZONES. If you have 3 hosts & 2 StorageArrays, you will need 6 zones.

I have about 20-25 Hosts with 3 storage arrays - so I am (still) configuring 60-75 Zones for SPB. I have depoyed a test with 3 Hosts and 3 StorageArrays successfully. Once done with SPB, I will be creating a the 60-75 pWWN zones for SPA.

Simple, but a PITA.

Thanks all for your input.
