The script provides a detailed and formatted display of the available configured components in a veritas volume manager setup. It provides all details in human readable format for the component diskgroups, subdisks, plexes and volumes. <br/>


Identifies the following volume types:<br/>

1. concat<br/>

2. stripe = (raid-0)<br/>

3. mirror = (raid-1)<br/>

4. raid = (raid-5)<br/>

5. mirrored-stripe = (raid-0+1)<br/>

6. <a class="jive-link-adddocument" href="">layered volume</a> - striped-mirror ("striped-pro") = (raid-10 or raid-10)
7. layered volume - concat-mirror ("concatenated-pro")

USAGE: -a http://dg1 dg2 dg3... - display all disks and volumes -d http://dg1 dg2 dg3... - display all disks -g http://dg1 dg2 dg3... - display all volumes -v http://vol1 vol2 vol3... - display all listed volumes -s http://dg1 dg2 dg3... - display summary -V - display vxvm version 


It is a easy to use script which runs in perl and can be executed from the commandline

The script can be useful as a tool to monitor a given setup and to generate snapshot information for testing and presentation purposes It will be a efective tool in the hands of experienced system adminsitrators. The script has no long term side effects on the system.
