how to change the Soft Serial number / Supplier Serialnumber on a Brocade 5100

Hi all,

I need ot change the Supplier Serial number / SSN on a Borcade 5100 , I know the Command "ssn" was working iwth the old Switches, this Command seems to have been removed.

Does anyone know a replacement Command for this ?

What is the reason you want to change the Serial ID ? Switch Replacement and/or License ?

we have the Problem that the wrong Supplier Number was entered in the First Place so we need to correct this somehow

chassisshow is the command to know Sr nos .But it is not advisable to do the activity, which you want to do. you can take the help of your SW supplier. Do not try any disruptive command through root.

Brocade Switches have in FOS Application Two S/N: Field, the first ist the Brocade Serial Number Field, the Second One OEM Serial Number Field.

britta_lubbert need to edit the first Line with the Second Line
