How to replace fault ports SFP in brocade 12000

Hi ,

I got an error message in our switch according to it i need to replace sfp..my sfp are not connected to any server or storage...however i got an error for faulty ports on that SFP...

could you please help in the procedure to replace SFP...do i need to shutdown the switch to replace unconnected SFP..

step by step procedure is much appreciated.

Hi vinay1

Replacing an SFP does not require the switch to be shutdown. You can pull them out while the switch is still powered on.


Seeing as you mentioned there is nothing plugged in at the other end , you'll be good to go.
