We have an FC SAN switch but unfortunately we lost the transaction key document. Is there a way to still get the license key with only the serial number? If not, how do we get another copy of the transaction key?

it's not way to get a Transactions key for Free, however I would suggest to get in touch with you OEM Vendor or Supplier and open a TAC with Brocade with a Prof-of-Purchase for the switch in question.

Please can you provide the serial number of the concerned unit?

The goal is to find if the software has been purchassed in the past.
The serail number should provide this information.

I actually have the same problem after we naively 'firmwarecleaninstalled' our brocade 300 deleting the 8 & 16 port on demand licenses in the process. If you are able to help that would be great?

if your vendor cannot help, please mail me the output from licenseidshow and the units serial number, please. And I will see what we can do for you.

Thankyou for taking the time to respond.
Output of 'licenseidshow' is: 10:00:00:05:1e:7c:8c:a9
Unit serial number is: ALJ1951D076
I appreciate your offer for help and any forthcoming is greatly accepted.
Thanks in advance

Hi Thierry, @Thierry.Zimmermann
I have a big problem here.
The transaction key document has lost, probably destroyed at physical implementation actions some moths ago.
Is strongly important at this moment to activate unlicensed ports,
What can I do in order to recovery the trasaction key and be able to generate licenced keys?
Any help will be appreciated,
