ESP Workload Automation

  • 1.  CA WA Workstation compatibility issues with Cisco Any Connect

    Hi there,

I'm having compatibility issues between CA Workload Automation EE v11.3 bld 81 and 105 and Cisco Any Connect v4.3 (also Cisco Jabber). I receive the msg "Cisco Scanner has stopped working" when I try to VPN into work with the CA WA Workstation installed.

When I uninstall the CA WA Workstation, I'm able to VPN into work just fine, then I re-install the Workstation until the next time.

Is there a setting I'm missing in the Workstation?

    Thanks for your suggestions, Loraine

    Hi Loraine,

I have added subcategory and tag for your post, so that the right group of users can see it.

Firstly I would suggest that you install more current level of the ESP workstation: 11.3 build 108. I know one similar problem with XML editor was fixed by build 106.

If it's still not working, please open a support ticket.

    Thank you,

    Lucy

    Thanks Lucy.

11.3 build 108 has the same issue, I'll open a ticket.

A coworker on Workstation v5.5 (!!)  and Cisco AnyConnect 4.3 is functioning just fine.

Temp workaround for the Cisco AnyConnect versions I encountered along the way-

        v4.3.05017, v4.3.01095, (for v4.5.02033 uninstall to a lower version)

    • From Windows 7 Enterprise version (C:), select MyComputer, Tools, Folder Options, View, Hidden files and folders, click on 'Show hidden files, folders, or drives', Apply, OK
    • Investigate error msgs in the hidden file C:\Users\uxxxxxx\AppData\Local\Cisco\CiscoHostScan\log
      •  for AnyConnect v4.3.05017 (but not v4.3.01095) found 'verifying file C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco\Cisco HostScan\lib\Computer Associates International.dll' and MD5 not found in manifest: (hex char string here)
    • Find the 'Computer Associates International.dll' in either C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco\Cisco HostScan\lib\ or C:\Users\uxxxx\AppData\Local\Cisco\Cisco HostScan\lib
    • Rename 'Computer Associates International.dll' to 'Computer Associates International old.dll'
    • Make a copy of ClamAV.dll and rename the copy to 'Computer Associates International.dll'
    • You should now be able to start the Cisco AnyConnect with the CA Workstation installed.
