Is it possible to get Clarity notifications to go to Google mail accounts?

How do I configure Clarity so that email notifications are sent to Google email accounts? We are On Premise.

Believe there is nothing in CA PPM to stop emails going out to external addresses, that's down to the configuration in your mail server.

Please consider though if you really want potentially confidential information going into gmail outside of the organisations control.

In the resource record put the email address you want for communication with the user in the "Email Address"attribute. Providing there is no rules/filters in your email server the emails to the user from CA PPM should go to that email address. Remember that the notification portlet needs to be setup to send notifications via emails. You have 3 options Alert, Email, SMS. make sure you have Email selected for the appropriate categories.

 

The above is assuming this is from the end user perspective.

 

If this is for CA PPM system notifications, the same applies, but I would check with your corporate security if what you want is allowed.

I have since raised this as a case on the support site.

Clarity requires these for the mail server to work:

* An SMTP server with NO SSL/TLS and port 25

* Optional authentication is supported

However, I have been told that we use MCMS as our SMTP messaging appliances - these are Ironport which we use for application messaging and that this will directs mails into Google.
