    I realize that the plan was to have the IUA website replaced by the CA Communities - but did we lose the User Contributed Library (etc)? I did see a few files in the IDMS Community, but there had been quite a few useful files that I cannot seem to find.

    Is the IUA website officially gone? I am getting the following messages when I try to access it.
    [color=#1b02fd] Directory Listing Denied
    This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.[color]

    (Where) Can we access the information that had been on the IUA website?

    Thank you,

    The User Contributed Library is at the new IUA web presence at IUA/EIUA Global User Community in the Document Library:

    IUA EIUA Document Library

    There is the main folder and a sub-folder - the sub-folder contains the entire, original UCL (last known version) which used to be physically distributed on tape. It is now available in XMIT format. Other, individual contributions that used to exist on the IUA web site are being uploaded as they are put into a standard distribution format, for consistent download and installation procedures.

    If there is something in particular that you are looking for - please let me know and I'll locate it for you in the old, IUAASSN.ORG format. If the tool does not exist yet - it might just get written if there is a need for it and it is within our capabilities to locate or provide whatever you are looking for. Witness the recent addition of the "fix PDE" program (re-enable out of service programs) which also does "fix PLE" (re-opens closed LINEs).

    I have been putting newer utilities up on the new site first, on the assumption that most of the older tools had already been downloaded by everybody who was interested in them.

    HTH - cheers - Gary

    Thank you Gary.

    I thought that there was more in the IUA library - I don't know whether there were any DC-COBOL (with map processing) example - but that is what I was looking for. I did see the 9 subfolders but thought there was much more.

    I probably have some of my old DC-COBOL programs in a box in my basement somewhere, but I don't have any online (on dish, etc) and was looking for an example. (All of my DC-COBOL programs that I have online, are just called subprograms).

    Thank you for the response, Cindy Kline

    The[b] “[color=#1302fa]IDMS Navigational DML Programming Guide”[color] has what you are looking for – see [color=#1302fa]“Chapter 7 Terminal Management”[color]. It covers Mapping, Line and Basic mode terminal operations.

    I believe that the Navigationa[color=#1302fa]l DML Reference[color] has complete sample programs – but I’m over 60 now so maybe that is something that I made up and is not actually a memory?

    Cheers - Gary

    The IDMS-L archives are still available at the old site. Will they continue to be? (I hope so. I use them often.) Kay R
