S4/HANA Integration Support for Cloud Service

Hello Everyone,

I'm reaching out in the hopes someone has come across this issue and doen this integration prior to now. I know IDM supports S4/HANA on prem DB connections throught their SAP Connector in the product. The problem is I have a customer that is looking to do S4/HANA integration but they've bought the cloud solution not the On-Prem product.

From what I can find it looks like S4/HANA supports SOAP API integration but I'm curious if anyone has done an integration with S4/HANA Cloud and IDM recently and can confirm the integration can work and what the effort looks like.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

It seems as though SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition does have a REST interface (https://api.sap.com/products/SAPS4HANACloud/apis/REST) and as such, we could use Connector Xpress 2.0 (REST CX) to create a dynamic connector and manage the endpoint.

Hopefully we can also hear from other customers which may have implemented a similar solution.
