Hi all

during an NSX upgrade, made on a LAB environment before try it on the prod environment,
I found the following issue when starting the host upgrade section, on two different nodes:
----------------------------------------
Unexpected error while upgrading upgrade unit: Install of offline bundle failed on host 324ee33e-9708-4b40-a970-9ee56582d31c with error : [InstallationError] Can not open /var/vmware/lifecycle/stageliveimage/data/nsx_shar.v00 to write payload nsx-shared-libs: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/vmware/lifecycle/stageliveimage/data/nsx_shar.v00' cause = Can not open /var/vmware/lifecycle/stageliveimage/data/nsx_shar.v00 to write payload nsx-shared-libs: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/vmware/lifecycle/stageliveimage/data/nsx_shar.v00' vibs = ['VMware_bootbank_nsx-shared-libs_4.2.1.0.0-8.0.24302014'] Please refer to the log file for more details..
----------------------------------------

The LAB environment is running vSphere 8.0U2 and NSX 4.1.2.1.
Someone can help me to find out and solve the issue ?
Tnx, kind regards
I.

Hi all, just solved.
Was a matter of memory reservation and limits.
During the upgrade operations on hosts simply remember to check if memory reservation or max limits are present on it.
In case, disable everything for the time of the upgrade.

Bye
I.
