Jasper Studio 9 integrate with Service Desk

Hi,

I am upgrading from Jasper studio 7.9 to 9.  I see that you can now integrate Studio with Service Desk.  However I cannot install the Broadcom version of Studio as the server I need to install it on does not have Internet access.  I am installing it from Tibo as per this link:  Jasper Studio 9.0 : Internet connection required (broadcom.com)

My question is, what benefit do you get from integrating Studio with Service Desk?  Our Service Desk is heavily customised and our custom reports are built with SQL queries.  We do not use OOTB reports.

Hi Heila,

Jasper Studio is a eclipse based report designer which allows you to design complex reports using the SQL queries and generate the table reports, charts etc. before you publish to your Jasper Reports Server. Since you are heavily using custom reports for SDM, the studio could come handy for designing them. You might want to see the user guide to get started.
