Instance Rights assigned to a Group without instances

Hi to all.

Can someone help me understand the mechanism between *instance* rights assigned to a Group which have no project instances associated with them? Is this an auto assignment? Is this some bug?

How can one create such instance right, since the UI imposes a 3rd step of selection of specific project instances?

Any help will be appreciated.

Can you explain a bit further like what all rights resource has, the auto assignment is done when resource is a manager of that project.

Thanks Suman for replying. A Users Group can have either Global or Instance rights.  Investment Managers are for sure provided with the "Auto" rights but at the resource (user) level. Somehow I see that there are Instance rights assigned to the Group "PSDE" which are not associated with any specific project instance. How is this achieved?

Hi Dimitris,

it appears to be filtered by active investments only, if you click "show all" does it return any instances? This is normally done manually through the group by adding instance rights / specific instances.

Side note, we normally recommend global and OBS rights over instance rights especially for groups.
