  • Upcoming SiteMinder Office Hours - August 21, 2025

The SiteMinder Product Team will be hosting Office Hours on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025

at 11:00 US Eastern time (8:00 US Pacific time and 17:00 Central European Time).

These meetings last one hour and are composed of two general sections.  In the first section, we present topics of prepared information and in the second section we provide the opportunity for customers to ask questions of the SiteMinder team.  Team members from SiteMinder that participate in the call include development engineers, support team engineers, field engineers, and product management.

    Agenda:

    -        Glimpsing the future POC: Demonstrating AI tools you can use now to improve SiteMinder Administration

Administrators regularly execute several tasks that range from searching for particular SiteMinder Policy Objects, such as a realm that protects a specific resource, to diagnosing a functional error that has been captured deep within a SiteMinder log file.  These tasks may be easy for some but challenging for newer Administrators of SiteMinder.   In this session we will demonstrate and walk you through how to attach an AI toolset, based on an MCP Server and Client, to your existing SiteMinder environment to enable you to quickly accomplish these and other similar administrative tasks.

    -        Make other announcements important to the SiteMinder community.

  • Replay SiteMinder Office Hours - June 30, 2025

The SiteMinder product team hosted Office hours on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 11:00 US Eastern time (8:00 US Pacific time and 17:00 Central European Time).

During the session we covered two SiteMinder feature areas:

     -  In release 12.9 we introduced the External Authentication Provider feature that enables integration of external authentication providers via OIDC.  This feature allows SiteMinder to fully delegate authentication to a 3rd party authentication system or snap in a 3rd party authentication system into the SiteMinder authentication chaining capability.  We will be showing how this can be done with Entra ID.

     -  SiteMinder’s modern deployment option supports a cloud native container format.  In this format, SiteMinder offers methods to load configurations as it spins up new instances, as well as, insert new configurations during runtime.   We will describe and demonstrate the capabilities of the SiteMinder Config Retriever container and the Runtime Config Retriever container in a Kubernetes-supported deployment of SiteMinder.
