    Posted Mar 26, 2025 10:46 PM

    Hello all

    I am trying to run

    D:\IDM-Installation-files\14.4_Symantec_Migration_Tool\IGA-jboss-wildfly-migration-tool\Symantec_migrate_tool.bat

    and I am getting:
    Source Directory : d:\wildfly-15.0.1.Final
    Target Directory : d:\wildfly-23.0.2.Final
The Source is not a valid JBoss EAP 7.2 or WildFly 15.0, Exiting
I tried many things such as renaming the source folrde, adding JBOSS_HOME even bypassing the IF statement from the batch file..

Thanks for looking into it, this need to go to production on a customer site

    Hello Charly,

I ran a quick test on a local VMware Workstation (Pro 15.5.7 build 17171714), starting with IDM 14.4 on Wildfly 15.0.1 and migrating to Wildfly 23.0.2, on Windows Server 2016. I attached the console output to this post. The initial lines from running the tool copied below:

    Hello my friend.
    Thanks for your response.
I really don't see what's the difference between what you did and what I tried...

We are using the same binaries. Same versions... strange

    Hi Charly,

What is the content of your d:\wildfly-15.0.1.Final folder? Can you also
make sure the user who runs the tool has the proper permissions
    Regards,
    Frank

    Hi Frank

I don't have the customer system in front of me but the wildfly15 is the one who is running as per now meaning it's functional.

Also I'm running using a command line as administrator.

Can you please let me know what fs the expected folder content?

Enrique. Of you could send me a screenshot of your source and destination folders so I can compare that would be great.

BTW I also have opened a ticket to support but it's not progressing as expected so far.

    Thanks all

    Charly,

I attached a screenshot of Windows Explorer showing the layout of the E: drive where both versions of wildfly are installed under E:\CA. As you can see, wildfly is not installed on the root of the drive although that is a viable option.

    See you later.

    Hi Charly,

I would double check is no endpoint security interfering, the wildfly is stopped, you have permissions over the foler, and the folder is the proper wildfly root, something like:

    dir C:\wildfly-23.0.2.Final
Volume in drive C has no label.
     Volume Serial Number is A48F-6A84

     Directory of C:\wildfly-23.0.2.Final

    Made some progress.
Basically we had source as 14.4 cp2 and it seems that the cp2 made a lot of damage removing folders and many module.xml files all over. I'm adding them one by one..
Enrique or Franck if you can upgrade the source to the cp2 see if you are facing the same issues ...
    Thanks all

    Charly,

I ran the Patch Deployer Tool to apply CP-IMS-1442 running Wildfly 15.0.1 and then ran the Migration Tool to move IMS to Wildfly 23.0.2. The migration was successful. I attached the logs from the Patch Deployer, IMS start under Wildfly 15.0.1, Migration Tool, and finally IMS start under Wildfly 23.0.2. The Patch Deployer did not move files to an unknown folder or change configurations other than as intended. I did not have any customizations.

    See you later.
