while updating the custom tsv in a custo object i am getting 

cannot have segment dates beyond the curve start or finish dates . this is happening while rest api and Ui , when i do with xog its working

why is this where to check

Hi,

This occurs when you are using TSV fields that have a corresponding Fiscal Period Start & Finish dates defined on the parent (master) object. 

This type of error can also occur on the Financial Plan Details rows when the user tries to enter data in periods outside of the parent Financial Plan Period Start & Finish dates. 

For example, if you create a Cost or Benefit plan with the plan properties Period Type = 'Monthly' periods that uses a Monthly Start date period = July 2024 and a Monthly Finish date period = June 2026 

When you are in the plan 'Details' page and have set the View Options to use yearly/annual periods such as FY24 thru FY26, trying to enter any values in FY24 or FY26 can generate this type of toast message.

The reason for this is because the data that is entered into the yearly period is trying to create a segment that spans Jan 1 2024 thru Dec 31 2024 (assuming your fiscal periods are defined as such), and therefore the 'segment dates' go beyond the limits of the curve dates based on the plan properties start and finish period dates. 

This can also occur when the View Options use monthly periods and the user tries to enter an amount before July 2024 or after June 2026.
