Compress Data Compression introduces the new IMS DDL user exit, SFESEGCC. This user exit supports database compression that is defined through DDL statements. This enhancement provides support for defining database compression in IMS-managed ACBs environments using DDL. Using SQL DDL to create a database simplifies the process compared to the traditional DBDGEN method.
DDL support keeps Broadcom's Database Management Solutions for IMS current with IMS capabilities and well positioned for the future when DDL becomes IMS preferred method.
