    Hey all,

    Quick question!

I've forgot the passwords for my RSA_DBA and RSA_USER users for SQL. Any way to figure them out or is there a way to reset them?

    Thanks for any input!

You should be able to log on to the RSA DB and justv reset the passwords using SQL management studio

Back up the DB or take a new snapshot if this is a VM though!

No, should work. Just restart the SSO, VC and the RSSPI services. Best to snapshot the SSO/DB/VC machines so you have a point in time restore option though. SSO can be finicky with configuration changes!

I am not 100% on what effects changing it in SQl MGMT studio is, but at the bottom of this KB it show you how to set it:

    http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2045528

I'm interested in knowing the steps for this if you do find it out.

That document explains RSA_USER but what about RSA_DBA.

Couldn't find any information sorry!  Might want to open a support ticket and see if support has these steps.

This problem is not related to SSO,Forget the password of database user or DBA user either, it is related SQL server.Check with the SQL server guys.I can suggest you for that. There would be an user  called "sa" in SQL server, this user has all the privilege, login  to SQL server through this user, then reset the password of RSA_USER and RSA_DBA.If your SQL server is installed in windows authentication, then login to SQL server with the windows authentication and do the same.

Wouldn't the SSO service need to be updated to communicate with the database after those are changed or are they only used for setup?
