Mrigesh,
This community "Layer7 API Management" is for a completely different suite of software unrelated to VMWare other than that both were acquired by Broadcom.
Because your question is about VMWare VSphere API's, you should probably ask your question in the VMWare VSphere community forums that I linked above.

This question does not sound like it is related to Layer7 API Management products. I believe your question would be better asked in the vSphere community here:

Hello Joseph,
Appreciate taking your time to look at issue.
I'm currently working on managing and rotating the password for the administrator@vsphere.local
account on vSphere devices using CyberArk. The password rotation is successful; however, instead of CyberArk generating and pushing the password to the device, vSphere itself generates the password. CyberArk then retrieves and stores this password. The challenge is that vSphere includes special characters such as <
, >
, &
, and "
in the generated passwords, and I'm working on restricting these characters to avoid any issues. Is there way to restrict the special characters?

Mrigesh,
Can you give a bit more detail? I am trying to understand this question in the context of API Management.
Did you perhaps intend to post this to the PAM, or some other community?

Hello,
I need to restrict the use of special characters such as <
, >
, &
, and $
when generating a new password for the administrator@vsphere.local
account on vSphere devices. I attempted to implement this restriction through the GUI/web interface, but it doesn't appear to have taken effect. Could you please provide guidance or a configuration method to enforce this password policy? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Mrigesh
