    Hello Spool Customers:

    The Challenge:
    Efficient email distribution is crucial for delivering reports and notifications. Depending on a single email server can result in delays or interruptions due to downtime or performance issues, especially with large recipient lists.

    Our Solution:
    We added a new feature, MXLOOKUP, to Spool, that allows customers to define a pool of email servers in their DNS. Spool can now query the DNS to determine which server to use next, ensuring:

    • Better Efficiency: Emails are routed through the next available server for faster and more reliable delivery.
    • Improved Uptime: If a server goes down, another is automatically selected to prevent delays.
    • Enhanced Scalability: The feature allows for more flexible infrastructure management, improving operational performance.

    This enhancement improves the reliability and efficiency of email distribution, ensuring business continuity.

    The PTF to enable this functionality is LU14593.
