  • 1.  Reduce the wait time to archive and purge tickets

We had a runaway process that logged 60,000 incidents overnight.

We would like to purge these incidents from the MDB as they are irrelevant.

Is there a way to override the 30 day wait time before the records are purged?

    Thank you.

    Hi Patrick,

How about just temporarily editing the Days Inactive value on the archive and purge rule or create a bespoke once that targets these specific tickets through the additional query parameters?

Alternatively although a bit more involved, you could possibly use a pdm_extract command with appropriate select criteria to get the id's and then perform a pdm_load -rf command to remove them.  You may also have to do the same for other objects such as activity log entries.  Won't be quick but shorter than 30 days :-)

    Regards

    Joe

    Thanks very much Joe.

We have decided to temporarily edit the Days Inactive value on the archive and purge rule.

    Kind regards,

    Patrick
