Recovering config service account password

Hi Team,

How to recover Config accounts password for vapp server. Some how, all our servers not allowing to login with the password which we have. 

Any way to login in to vapp server? Or retrieve config account?

The credentials for config user cannot be recovered and therefore should be stored in a credentials vault.

Hi Giriprasath,

Unfortunately, you have two (2) options for on-prem deployment:

1) Request the ESXi team restore a previous snapshot of the deployment prior to a 'config' password change.   

2) Request the ESXi team deploy a new instance with the OVA.   [ Which has larger implications & larger effort for the entire environment. ]

If you do get access or redeploy, add an ssh key for 'config' to help mitigate this concern.
