  • 1.  Question on VMSA-2022-0001

    Hi All,

    Just want to double confirm, from security advisory published on https://www.vmware.com/security/advisories/VMSA-2022-0001.html,

    Only ESXi version 6.5, 6.7, and 7.0 specifically listed as vulnerable towards heap-overflow vulnerability (CVE-2021-22045). 

    May I if other versions such as 6.0 or 5.5 would also be impacted by this?

    Only supported version products are mentioned.

    No idea if older ESXi versions are impacted.

    Meaning it is safe to say better to just upgrade to the latest version whenever possible right?

    As I said, I have no idea if the older versions are impacted.
