We are pleased to announce our most recent addition to Gen v8.6: Part 2 of Consuming REST APIs for COBOL/Batch applications. This enhancement adds the following support to the Consuming RESTful
APIs feature:
-
TSOAE: Gen-generated applications with a TP Monitor of IEFAE and/or applications targeting the TSO Test Facility, now have the ability to consume RESTful APIs.
-
DLIBATCH and IMS_BMP: Gen-generated Batch applications packaged with a Db2 Attach Type of DLIBATCH or IMS_BMP now have the ability to consume RESTful APIs. Note: Support for Batch applications packaged with a Db2 Attach Type of DB2_DSN or EXEC/NONE was previously provided in "Part 1" via LU08865.
-
CALLREST properties file: In addition to the Configuration parameter overrides that are specified in your PAD logic, Gen-generated Batch applications now have the ability to specify Configuration overrides in a CALLREST properties file. Note: Configuration parameters specified in your PAD logic overrides the values specified in the CALLREST properties file.
