Migration AXIS to CXF Webserive

    Hi,

In the Dokumentation for the AXIS - CXF Migration I read following:

Reload OOTB ITPAM content (which are CXF compatible) by manually importing the xml file into CA ITPAM.
This xml file is located under the "filestore/PAM/PAMProcessFlows/SDM" in Common Installer DVD for 17.4 RU2 and above

When I browse into the WIN_17_4_4_0.zip to this location, I find the file "CASDM129_CAProcAutoFlows_01272012.xml" which is for the old AXIS Webserives. Under the Path "WIN_17_4_4_0.zip\filestore\PAM CXF" I only find the "SLCM" folder for new Catalog Webservices.

So my question is, where do I find the SDM PAM Operators for the CXF Wenserice?

    Thanks and best regards,

    Markus

    Hi Markus,

At the same page you are looking

    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/business-management/ca-service-management/17-4/administering/axis-to-cxf-migration-for-casm/cxf-migration-for-ca-sdm.html#_ebb7d422-6e5b-4a98-828c-84def30c6729_sdmtoitpam

you will find a "download it from here." pointing to:

    https://support.broadcom.com/web/ecx/solutiondetails?aparNo=99112069&os=WINDOWS-ALL

Also, you will find more info on the CA Process Automation Connectors 2.0 page:

    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/intelligent-automation/automic-process-automation-connectors/2-0/ca-process-automation-connector-for-ca-service-desk/release-notes-ca-service-desk-connector.html

Beware because I believe these PAM Operators will rewrite the axis ones.

    Hi Paolo,

thanks for your answer. I already tried to install "PAM44_connector_installer_CA_ServiceDesk_CXF_Win.exe", but here the installer takes one second, tells it is finished, but nothing will be installed.

The Link on the CA PAM Connectors 2.0 Page leads to the same Installfile, with the same result.

    Best Regards,

    Markus

    Hi Markus,

Did you try to load "CASDM129_CAProcAutoFlows_01272012.xml" ? As far as I know the filename was kept the same, but the content was updated.

    I hope this help.

    Regards,
    Sebastian

    Hi Markus,
As Sebastian noted, please load the file from the location provided below.
"filestore/PAM/PAMProcessFlows/SDM/CASDM129_CAProcAutoFlows_01272012.xml" in Common Installer DVD for 17.4 RU2 and above

    Thanks,

    Seetharamaiah

    Hi Seetharamaiah,

as I answered Sebastian I did this already. But when i look into all 23 Operators unter SDM/Custom Operators/, than all these Operators have the old Service-URL

    For example:

So at the moment, I have to edit all operators I need manually.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Markus

    Hi Markus,

You do not have to edit all the operators with the CXF web service. Please re-import the XML file "CASDM129_CAProcAutoFlows_01272012.xml," check all the options as shown in the screenshot below, and then verify.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Seetharamaiah

    Hi Seetharamaiah,

I did exactly this, but with no effect. But then I deleted the "old" Folder and reimported this file and now all Operators have the new URL.

So it seems this was an issue with my import.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Markus

    Hi Sebastian,

Yes, I imported this file, and I see on the date, that the operators are updated. But but every Operator I open has "http://" + Datasets[M_PATH__].server + ":" + Datasets[M_PATH__].port + "/axis/services/USD_R11_WebService" as Service URL, and this is wrong.

So this is still for the old Webservice.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Markus
