    Hi all,

I wonder if it's possible to use a Huawei 4G router directly from Vsphere.

I saw some other discussions in which it was suggested to install the drivers on the real machine. But if there aren't virtual machine started it is not worth.

The R215 is a cheap but fine working modem/router with NAT capabilities and useful features but has not a RJ45 port, then we are forced to connect it via USB.

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks

    Hi friend,

may be, you can do it by adding an USB port to your VM via Pass-Thru and connect the modem to your VM directly.

    What is your server model?

Hi Davoud, it's a HP Proliant microserver Gen 8.

The best solution for me would be to use the modem/router with no virtual machine started.

But sounds difficult. Apparently I was unable to find the driver for Vsphere 6.
