  • 1.  ETC added when allocating time on Timesheet

    Hello,

    I'm working with Clarity PPM version/build 16.1.0.959.01.39 (Preprod Environement).

    Doing tests in Clarity, after creating a project with basic information (mandatory), added a team member and creating a task, when entering Timesheets (new interface) to register time, in some cases, the application registers the time added but also adds values on the ETC column.

    Example - after adding 2 days, the application adds 0.5 days in ETC column (with no ETC entered previously).

    Can you help me understand why the application has this behavier.

    Hi Luis,

    It has to do with the 'Loading Pattern' on the Assignment. 

    1. During the posting of a timesheet entry, the system examines the assignment and determines what the current estimate is.
    2. The system then determines what the remaining estimate is by subtracting the timesheet's actuals from the estimate it had already gathered (as described in step I).
    3. The system then updates the estimate curve based on the logic. (Note: The estimate curve is a distribution of the estimates over time.)
