    hi guys

I have to move some VMs (2) to different locations - datacenters - not related

so I need to download the VMs from the DataStore to my computer and after that use the Converter to move them to the other Virtual Center or DataStore

I've tried download the VM directly from DataStore using the donwload option it pops up a I/O Error.

Using Vmware Converter I received different errors like network errors or not able to clone the disk

and I've used Trilead VM Explorer and slow download times

any other way to download these VMs?

    thanks a lot

maybe try "Export OVF Template..."  However, to do this, the guest must be powered off.

So long as SSH is enabled you could try WinSCP or Veeams FastSCP - connect to a host then browse the filesystem to the datastore where your VM is stored. This is often far more reliable than downloading through the vsphere console. The VM will have to be switched off of course.

    See links for software:

    Hope this helps.
