    Good Day,

One of my hosts I cannot ping the vmk. I tried everything, switching ip,vlan. Compare config to my other hosts. Reinstall ESXi nothing worked.

    [root@SNO2~] vmkping 10.10.10.2

    PING 10.10.10.2 (10.10.10.2): 56 data bytes

    --- 10.10.10.2 ping statistics ---

3 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

    [root@SNOD2:~] vmkping 10.10.10.4

    PING 10.10.10.4 (10.10.10.4): 56 data bytes

    64 bytes from 10.10.10.4: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.220 ms

    64 bytes from 10.10.10.4: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.174 ms

    64 bytes from 10.10.10.4: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.208 ms

I can ping any of my other hosts

    Thank you

I assume that you already checked for typos (e.g. in the subnet mask), and that you also verified that the physical switch ports to which the host is connected are properly configured!?

Does vmkping 10.10.10.2 work on the affected host itself? Are you able to ping the default gateway address from this host?

I checked everything three or four times. I does work on the pinging on the affected host. But I cannot ping it from other hosts or switch.
