14.5.1 patches for Vapp external tools .

Dear all ,

we are planning to upgrade Vapp to 14.5.1 .

could someone clear our doubt that which patch is applicable for Vapp 14.5.1 external tools .

mostly we have doubt about external connector server for active directory endpoint ,
Connector express , provisioning manager , bulk load client , these are the tools we are using 
And someone please confirm no additional patch need to be applied on Vapp linux servers other than iga-vapp-14-5-1.tar.gpg patch

Hi Ribesh,

The process for 14.5.1 looks to be the same that was used for 14.4 CP1, CH1, CH2 and CP2 - where you need to download the standalone IM installer package and follow the instructions for the individual components you want to upgrade.

So for example for Provisioning Manager upgrade you'll need to do the ETPKI upgrade first (copying over files on top of existing ones) and then the PM upgrade (also copying over files).  There is a dedicated Tools package that you need to download and follow the instructions for each specific tool inside there.  It contains all files and instructions.

As far as upgrading the vapps go I am only aware of the one patch file that will upgrade all products.  Just follow the instructions in the documentation.

I had planned for a 14.5.1 upgrade, but we have not done it yet due to Change constraints at the customer.

It's not optimal that the version info for the tools does not get updated on the windows server - it seems installer based upgrades are only for major releases now :(
