We are upgrading our Dev and QA environments to release 17 this weekend.
I=3D
have all APARS on up to October 7th.
Has anyone else upgraded to R17, and what problems did you encounter or
wha=3D
t items should we watch for.
Also would you be willing to briefly discuss their experiences with us.
Thanks you.

"well then .... (many of the biggest changes were introduced in 16)
any programs compiling with the OBTAIN ... within set .... using .... that
do not end in a period or semicolon will fial the precompile unless you
pur on the fix (my opinion is to not put it on and have the program comply
with the rules (they ARE making changes else it would not be compiling,
right?)
if you DBANs against all databtase areas - the journal definition record
will not be at its defined length unless you alter the journal definition
(if only to do nothing) - if you do not run DBANs - this will never be a
problem
if you have any screen-grabber processes that look for literals on dialog
or map compiler panels - beware - the literals have changed
now 2 pool 255s - fun for everyone
if you are going in SP0 - you will have lots of fun ahead of you in
applying post SP0 fixes - if you are going in at SP1 - and have ""zap""
optional fixes - you will have headaches with applying certain new load
mod replacement fixes .....
some new nessage at startup and shutdown to be aware of ....
