  • 1.  Laderman Migrator Issue

    Posted Jun 03, 2005 08:23 PM
We are getting an error trying to do a migration and unfortunately, we have
no documentation. The product is so stable that we've never needed any.

    LADAMU12 IS ABORTING

MORE THAN 200 RECORDS CANNOT BE REPLACED OR HAVE BEEN OMITTED

    OCCURRENCE NAMES FOLLOW

The migrator is trying to migrate every map record we have in our dictionary
and we have no idea why. We have looked and no global map entities have
been updated or date-timestamps changed on more than 5 of these records.
The target dictionary has also not been changed. So, I have three
    questions:

    1) Does this mean that the migrator can't migrate more than 200
    records at a time?

    2) Is there a way around this?

    3) Where does one get documentation?

    Thanks.

well ,,, hugh Laderman is a subscriber to IDMS-L - it would not surprise me
if you get the answer from the man himself ...
but the reports really will show why things are being selected ... at least
when I used the product ...

    FYI - R16 CICSOPT/IDMSINTC parameter changes
"We are upgrading from R14.1 to R16, and had a problem with the IDMSINTC
(CICS/IDMS interface) module. It was caused by a new CICSOPT parameter
""DSECT"", which I did not see mentioned in the install or features
manuals. But it is explained in the Operations manual:

    DSECT
Specifies whether to generate a DSECT only version of the CICSOPT macro.
The parameter defaults to YES. However, to generate a working CICS
    interface
module, you must specify DSECT=NO in the assembly of CICSOPT.

If you do not override the default with ""DSECT=NO"", your CICS/IDMS
connectivity will not work very well. (That was understated sarcasm -
it actually won't work at all.)

Several parameters have different default values with R15 and/or R16:
    - TPNAME
    - CICSLVL
    - XA
    - TIMEOUT
    - MACLVL

Also, the TRANSID parameter is now required. (It was optional.)

Small Display Problem in OLQ Menu Mode
    "Hi,

This is just a small display issue that I discovered yesterday.

We recently went 16.0 SP1 + apars but still have access to a 15.0
system. If you use OLQ in Menu Mode the last screen that display's the
report says CA-OLQ Release 12.0!!! I thought I had gone way back in
time. Funny how I had never noticed this for 14.0/14.1 or15.0?

Have we done something wrong here or is it like this for all other post
    12.0 sites?

"The song is called God's Own Drunk. Basically, the song involved a still,
mass quantities of moonshine and a bear dance (so simple, it plumb evaded
me). You can find the lyrics on Google.
