  • 1.  Issue with Process_MON in AS400 systems

    I have set a job to monitor a process on couple of as/400 systems.The job is to wait until the process stops then starts it. But the job that monitors the process completes assuming that it's not running though the process running on systems.

     

    Any suggestions on how to fix this

     

    Job Setup

     

    PROCESS_MON ADR7
    RUN DAILY
    AGENT ADR7AGENT
    PROCESS *ALL/SCIOWNER/ASCHEDULER
    STATUS STOPPED WAIT
    ENDJOB

    PROCESS_MON ADR2
    RUN DAILY
    AGENT ADR2AGENT
    PROCESS *ALL/SCIOWNER/ASCHEDULER
    STATUS STOPPED WAIT
    ENDJOB

    Hello,

    PROCESS Statement: Specify Process Name - CA Workload Automation ESP Edition - 11.4 - CA Technologies Documentation 

     

    • i5/OS:
      Specify the following format:

      jobnumber/username/jobname

      • jobnumber
        Specifies the six-digit job number or *ALL.
      • username
        Specifies the user ID the job runs under. The value can be a generic name or *ALL.
        Limits: Up to 10 characters
      • jobname
        Specifies the job name on the i5/OS system. The value can be a generic name or *ALL.
        Limits: Up to 10 characters

    Could you confirm that the running JOB ASCHEDULER runs under user SCIOWNER?

    The job ASCHEDULER runs under user SCIOWNER.
