Wizard staging deployment from wrong location

I'm staging (via wizard) our 14 sp1 packages to our servers so that we can deploy via wizard should we need to.  All working ok for most SS apart from one server.

When I stage the packages (via wizard) they go into the following location D:\program files\CA\DSM\DMPrimer\CAUnicenterDSM which is also the \\scalabilityserver\dmdeployss$ location.  contents are identical.

However when I subsequently to go deploy SD from the Scalability Server to a pc it deploys from another share C:\program files\CA\DSM\DMPrimer\CAUnicenterDSM where there were old packages (12.5).

When I select the scalability server in the wizard steps it will list the packages eg 14.sp1.... but somewhere along the line it deploys from the other location.  I can copy the contents from one location to the other but would rather fix the location deployment.

CA is installed on the D:drive.

 

any ideas?

Hi Andrea,

 

Was the install location moved or the SS was installed with some components on the C drive and some on D drive.

I think there might be a reference in the registry to the older location. Search for the older location and see what references you find.

 

Quickest way to resolve is to copy the correct packages to the C drive location as well and maybe move the older packages to a sub folder.

Maybe the value of registry key HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\ComputerAssociates\DMPrimer\InstallPath on the Scalability Server is set to wrong location ?
