  • 1.  Filestore location on physical server

    Hi All,

I was wondering if any of you know how to find the full path on the physical server for the Files that we put into Clarity?

I have gone through this thread: CA Clarity Tuesday Tip: Attachment Attribute, and understand how to query clb_dms_versions and clb_dms_files to obtain the last 2 folders and the file location on the physical server (The path of the filestore is mentioned to be "C:\niku\clarity\filestore" here, which is not the case with the server I am working on).

    Thanks,

    Jeevan

    HI Jeevan,

The path is not by default, if you change your file store you need to update that in the CSA. so if you know the correct path, please update the same.

    Hi Suman,

    Thanks for your reply.

The Filestore directory mentioned in the properties.xml file is: filestoreDir="/niku/clarity/filestore". But there is no path called "/niku/clarity/" on the physical server. Kindly let me know if I am not looking at the right place in the properties.xml file.

    Thanks,

    Jeevan

This path comes by default and if you are having a different path while setting up the PPM, your administrator should know the same.

    Hello Jeevan,

As I understand, Suman is saying that when you install the CA Clarity PPM tool, it automatically selects a path to store all the CA Clarity PPM files or a path may have been changed manually by the Admin during installation. If your CA Clarity PPM is accessible from the client location, you can check via the FTP Server (something similar) the exact location where the files have been stored, whether it is C-drive or D-drive, etc., and find out the folders present within it to get the correct file path.
