KMDB - ReuUse of Approval Process Template

Hi Team,

 

We have implemented the approval process for KMDB, at each 6 Months the knowledge document will be reviewed. we have a separate process for review. but it was found a limitation that only once  an approval proccess will be allowed per document. we want reuse the same template for every 6 months.

 

any one faced the same problem and have any suggestions?

We don't use the 'rework' functionality, but I'm wondering if that would possibly then use the same approval process again when it gets re-published?  If it does, maybe you could use 'rework' as part of your 6 month review process.

Hi Santoshi,

Another way of getting this done is to use Knowledge Expiration. When a knowledge document is created set an expiration date to 6 months from the date of publishing. This way after 6 months the document will get expire. Then the knowledge manager can review the list of expired knowledge documents and start the knowledge approval/review process again with the default/same Knowledge Approval Manager Templates.

Hi All,

 

Thank you for reply, Actually what am doing is..i created a document and set a review date for 6 months and i have created a Review approval process template. After 6 months when click rework, at approval process template am selecting Review approval process template and saving the document. now document follows the tasks which are mentioned in the Review approval process and Re-published.again, Document review period will set to 6 months then after 6 months again i click on rework and this time approval process template will be Review approval Proecess template only but document wont follow the tasks which are mentioned in the Review approval process template this time, directly its showing publish button.

 

When i contact the CA chat they said  only once an approval process template will be allowed per document.
