    Hi Charan.

I hope I understood your requirement correctly.

    • Set the Primary Contact of each location to the apropriate manager.
    • Set the Location of each contact to his correct location.
    • Create a so called "Object Contact Notification"
      • Symbol: "Affected End Users Location Manager"
      • Object Type: "Request/Incident/Problem Activity Log"
      • Object Attribute Name : "call_req_id.customer.location.primary_contact"
    • Add the previoulsy created "Object Contact Notification" to your Initial notifcation rule.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards

    ..............Michael

    please use

    customer.location.primary_contact

    not call_req_id.customer.location.primary_contact

Also please notice that here we asssume in primary contact

field you enter the manager of the location. If you customize

the loc object to add a "zmanager" custom attribute, then it could

    be "customer.location.zmanager", for example.

    Hi Charan.

When creating an Incident, notification is sent out through the "Initial" activity. Therfore, you context for notification is the Activity Log, and you need to use the "call_req_id. ....." notation that I suggested.

Nevertheless, there are some more dependencies to receive such a notification, some are:

    • Activity Notification
      • Is the "internal flag" of the Initial Activity Notifcation set? If so, does the default role of the manager allows to see "internal" activity logs?
      • Is the "Auto Notification" flag of your message template of the Initial Activiity set to "Yes" ? Otherwise, no notification will be send at all.
      • Which "Notify Level" does your message template use?
    • Contact
      • Does your manager has an email address administered in its contact record?
      • Does the contact record has the email notification method specifiied for the appropriate "Notify Level"?
      • Whats about the notificatios workshift? Are they empty? If so, that's ok. If not, how do they look like?
      • Do other contacts receive email notificatoins? Is the email interface correctly configured?
      • Try a manual notify to the managers contact. Does he receive the manual notify?

Please check these setting and let us know the results.

    Kind regards

    ..........Michael
