Currently, the Clarity application does not have a feature to archive data.   There are different strategies for accomplishing this goal, all of which must be explored and each customer's implementation taken into consideration.   The best recommendation is to discuss this with a CA Clarity Technology Services Consultant.[left]  [left] As for purging features, the Clarity application has the following jobs to purge data:[left] Clean User Sessions - this job will remove user session records Delete Investments job - Delete selected investments and their associated data including investment hierarchy, financial data, tasks, timesheets and documents etc. Delete Process Instance - Delete process instances according to the specified parameters Purge Temporary Hierarchy Data - Removes temporary data created while computing aggregated costs Purge Audit Trail - Removes audit trail records Purge Financial Tables - this job will purge financial data from the project selected at run time Purge Documents - Delete documents based on supplied parameters Remove Job Logs and Report Library entries - Remove the job log entries and/or the report library entries that are older that the supplied parameters     [left]  [left]

Kathryn, We are using Clarity 7.5.2.3495 FP02 027. We are storing our files in Filestore.Filestore is growing like any thing.we are facing an big issue while doing the EOD Backup for filestore. That takes a long time which causes an uptime delay for the users.we are struggling to handle this issue.so i tried to use the Purge Documents Job to clear some old projects documents. When i run the Job for an project in our development server, the job successfully completed and then i went and check the specific project -->Document Manager and found the documents still exist.when i click that it shows this Error. DMS-02104: The system cannot retrieve the requested document from the DMS. Contact your system administrator. i thought all the documents in the project should be deleted. Why it is throwing an error?.Is iam missing any thing. sundar

Sounds as if the job just handles the Clarity part which would be all if you had you documents in the database. If that is the case you would have to pin point the files and manually delete them (what a drag). Some thing similar happened in 6.14 - 7.02 if you had you files in  files store and switched the setting to database. Everything disappeared and even if you switched back you did not get your documetns back until you rebuild yours e a r c h  indices. Martti K.
