    Hi all.
I have a user experiencing something I've never seen before - a Permission Denied error in Clarity 13.1 on IE 8.
I can find browser setting fix breadcrumbs, tons of returns that blame bad javascript, I also can't rule our McAfee Enterprise On Access scanner. Before I start blindly flushing the webserver cache, the user's cache, adding trusted sites to IE and whitelist URLs to McAfee, I'd like to understand the root cause on this and make sure my fix is reproducible.
    Webpage error details

    User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.3; AskTbORJ/5.15.9.29495; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E)

    Message: Permission denied

I thought I'd start here. Has anyone seen this before?

    Hi Rob,

I am guessing the error is related to the link "https://clarity.osumc.edu..." and not clarity itself... is there a url field in clarity which the user is trying to open.. does it occur only for one user... can the user see it in other systems...

this page "https://clarity.osumc.edu" does not look like clarity .. is it customized login of clarity ?

    Thanks and Regards,
    Rajini

    Hi NJ.
I never did get anything solid out of the logs. The user believed they were seeing this 'hang' happen in another web app as well, so I started this as a local, client-side with the browser as the common denominator issue. I added our Clarity server's URL as well as our whole intranet (with a wildcard) to the user's Trusted Zones in their browser and they haven't reported anything since. I can't call this a resolution since it was just a stab in the dark. Good thing is we have this thread started, if I see this again or if anyone else does, we can add to this until we see a pattern in the tea leaves.

Line 2571 from the 'permissions denied' error is as follows:
    function Fb(b){var c,d,e;$wnd.clarity.uitk.navigation.NavigationContextManager.setIsRendering
I don't know much about the files in gwt\com.ca.clarity.container so I'm not going to speculate. Oh well. Calling this a 'watch' issue for now.
