  • 1.  Edit an Approved sheet in Clarity?

    Posted Oct 28, 2013 05:32 PM

This should be simple but I can not find ANY way to fix this. I accidentally hit "Submit" before I finished entering time on my sheet. The sheet now shows Approved and I can not find any way to edit / amend the current sheet, or submit a revision. Can you point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

    Hello,

The timesheet has to be returned to you by the approver, for you to make changes and resubmit it.

    Regards

You can see the return button with enter time right only.

Thank you all, we are set up to auto-approve but I will contact my manager and see if I can get it returned. Was hoping there was an easier way.

@ Martti - My clarity looks different than yours lacking the return button on the timesheet page. Perhaps we are using a different version or I have access limitations. Btw, are you also by chance Finnish? I noticed the spelling of your name.

That was exactly what I was after.

"You can see the return button with enter time right only. "

If you don't you cannot return it. Enter time is the lowest right. Do you have that or do you just have navigate right?

Another possible reason could that the time period has been closed in the mean time, but the you would need approve time rights.

The screen shot is from v12.1 (sandbox) What is you version?

Yes, I am Finnish. Why would you ask?

If I search the Clarity community for your userID the name that comes up is not that Finnish. There must be more to it.

We are off topic now haha but that's because my mother's side was the Finnish side. Her name is Liisa (notice the spelling). :) I have my grandfather's Finnish war medals produly displayed in my home too if you want proof haha.

FYI - A user can 'return' or 'edit' a timesheet with a  status of Open, Returned, Submitted or Posted.  If the status is Approved, a person (generally your manager...but also can be your Clarity Admin) with rights to approve your timesheet must be the one to return it to you.

Since your timesheets are auto-approved, your users will need to contact the one with timesheet approval rights to return their timesheets.

(Wish the system would confirm that you are ready to submit a timesheet.  With the button next to Save, it is easy to accidently hit the wrong one.)

Thank you, this is exactly what I had to do. All set now :)

Can you see the Return Timesheet button ? If not, then you need to ask the approver of the timesheet to return the timesheet so that you can adjust it
