  • 1.  Slow Performance and Unable to Edit Time Sheet

    Posted Oct 07, 2013 06:16 AM
    Hi,
Our System is performing too slow. I have verified the app log filed and I can not figure out anything. The below are the errors found in app log file. I have restarted the web, app servers, but that did not help us.

Also, few of user are unable to view/edit their time sheets. They are receiving following error message when they clicked on "Clock Icon". ERROR, TMA-0112, You don't have sufficient rights to change the timesheet. I have verified the access rights and everything seems to be ok. If anyone has faced the same issue, Please kindly let me know solution. Thanking you In Advance.

    Which Clarity version?
    Which database?
What is the app server OS and how many bits?
How much free disc space on the drive where the Clarity app is installed and on the drive where the data files of the Clarity database is located?
How much physical memory free on app server?

Martin, We are using Oracle 11g database.

That rules out disc space running out and most likely also physical memory running out (because your are on 64 bit) and MS SQL server not realeasing memory (because you have Oracle)

Invalid lookup type: CMN_SEC_USERS.USER_NAME does not sound like it is directly related to timesheet rights or peformance.

What is slow performance in your case?
    What is
Time to loging page to open?
Time to home page to open after login?
    Time to open project list?

Any particular user that get slow performance or all?
Any particular pages where the performance is slow?

    For the timesheet errors see

Performance issue is Resolved once we restart the BG server. But the issue with Time sheet still exist. When user clicks on Current Time Sheet Icon (Clock Icon) available on Top Right corner of Clarity, they are receiving the authentication error.

Error - TMA-0112: You don't have sufficient rights to change the timesheet.

but when they access time sheets from Home Menu --> Time Sheet --> it is not showing any error, but not showing the Open/Approved time sheet records.

This issue was occuring only for few users.

    Thanks,
    Pushpa

The issue you are facing is due to the code defect which is due to fix in V13.3. The bug number is CLRT-71998. Please refer to the technical document [url=https://comm.support.ca.com/?legacyid=TEC592124]TEC592124
