I have OneDrive installed on my Windows PC as well as within my VMWare Workstation 17 Player.  When I make changes to my files on my PC's OneDrive folder, the Workstation doesn't recognize any changes occurring at all.  But, going the other direction everything is fine (creating a file within the VMWare Workstation's OneDrive folder gets immediately recognized on my PC's drive).

Anyone know what causes this and how to fix?

What steps have you taken to make sure that your Windows settings are correct, as Workstation has nothing to do with OneDrive. From what you've said it looks like basic networking is working fine in the VM.

What version of Windows are you using in the Windows PC, and what version is running in the VM?

Local PC is Windows 11 Pro, VM is running Windows 10 Pro.

Both VM and OneDrive appear to be functioning correctly on their own, but I presume what's happening is when a file changes in OneDrive, the OneDrive server is sending down a "file changed" notification that the local PC is capturing and responding to correctly, but does not pass it through to the VM, or is blocking it from getting to the VM.

I think I've solved my own issue.  I've switched the Network Adapter from "NAT" to "Bridged" so the VM would get its own IP address, and now OneDrive is correctly sending the sync notifications through.

Thought I'd share this with anyone else experiencing the same issue.
