For guests without VMware Tools, you can't paste anything in directly without manually typing in anything. There could be an option to let the user paste text into the guest, and VMware will mimic the keyboard and type what's on the host clipboard onto the guest, letter by letter (faster than a human, of course). This would be useful for interactions in Windows Setup where you need to enter a product key, and Easy Install isn't available.

Which Windows Setup? Setups of already supported platforms shouldn't cause a problem. But if it does, describe the scenario and the (default) vm settings used.

"without manually typing in anything" -> do you mean vocational command support at bios level?

On Windows 11 Microsoft Voice Access (Preview)] redirection of an usb microphone to a virtual machine might work.

You can already paste to the guest without tools are being installed.

Just copy your text, go the guest, make sure you are highlighting the field you want to paste to, then press ctrl+alt to ungrab from the guest, and the press ctrl+v

It works with every OS, windows and Linux.
