In our March Layer7 Office Hours, we looked at Layer7 Operator. Layer7 Operator completely transforms the deployment, configuration and management of Layer7 API Security. On our January Office Hours, Jon Shendt, a key Layer7 partner, discussed how creating and maintaining a Token Service that caters to forward-leaning and traditional clients simultaneously can be an undertaking with many hurdles. Jon further discussed how handling multiple issuers, tracking expiration, authorization and authentication, and most importantly, preventing data spills, requires a customized and holistic approach while still utilizing standards and best practices. In our Layer7 Office Hours call for October, we reviewed using the Layer7 OAuth Toolkit (OTK) Third-Party OIDC Provider capability to demonstrate how to integrate with the Broadcom VIP Authentication Hub to provide enhanced security for authentication and API access, including multi-factor and password-less authentication along with risk-based scoring.
