We are moving forward with our solutions for IMS database. We just announced that our CA Database Management Solutions for IMS for z/OS 19.0 0000 is Complete Release now. To those of you who would wonder, as we work in agile environment, it means that you can enjoy Feature stable version of our tools with this release while in case you would like to take advantage of new features that are being developed and provided to you, you can take advantage of our new Incremental (Continuous Delivery) release 20.0 which supports new IMS v15 (support matrix can be found here). Both versions are supported.
This 19.0 complete release provides a range of new features, including:
Lets you skip scheduled Reorg jobs when reorganization is not necessary, helping you to minimize costs. The use of Conditional Reorg is demonstrated in the following video:
Supports the One Step Batch Reorg and Full Function Online Reorg components of CA Database Organizer for IMS for z/OS. The following video demonstrates the use of the Reorg JCL Generator:
- System z Integrated Information Processor (zIIP) Support
Enables part of the workload to be offloaded to zIIP processors when unloading a database, to reduce general purpose CPU time and further reduce your costs.
