vSphere ships with many metrics and properties. If we take object by object, and document metrics by metrics, it will be both dry and theoretical. You will be disappointed as it does not explain how your real world problems are solved. You’re not in the business of collecting metric.
This document begins with you; experienced VMware professionals tasked with optimizing and troubleshooting production environment. It documents the metric following the Triple See Method, a technique that maps metrics into operations management.
This is advanced-level book. The screenshot shows an example where it goes deep. At 400+ pages, it is not a light reading. It is a companion book to VCF Operations Transformation, 4th edition book. So grab a cup of coffee or your favourite drink and enjoy a quiet read of both books.
The book is free. It is also provided in editable format so you can take what's relevant and make it as part of your company documentation (e.g. A guide for the Level 1 Support team, and Level 2 Specialist team).
Your review is most welcome. Reach out via LinkedIn or email me at e1 at broadcom dot com.
The book is a living document. It gets regular updates 2x a year.

Thanks @casey for the kind words. Yes, my England is not where it should be. I thought one is done learning a language when one thinks and dreams in that language. Obviously I'm mistaken and it's amazing how deep language goes in our mind.
Give me some time to read through it. I will provide you with some thoughts to consider. #ExcitedEdit: I will respond back, this is pretty comprehensive. More grammatical errors than technical (and that's a good thing right!).
