Hello dear community. I used Windows 11 21H2 previously and there were no problems with the Workstation Pro.

I recently did a clean install of Windows 11 24H2. Now there are problems with the workstation.

During the installation of the Workstation Pro a message appears that Hyper-V is enabled on the host or Device/Credential Guard, and it is necessary to install Windows Hypervisor Platform (WHP), check attached image (Screenshot_2.png).

When there was version 21H2, there was no such message.

Anyway, I checked this checkbox and installed it.

Now my virtual machine has the option "Disable side channel mitigations for Hyper-V enabled hosts". Check attached image (Screenshot_1.png).

Previously this option was not available.

I enabled this option but the virtual machine performance is now low.

Hyper-V is disabled in my host, check attached image (Screenshot_3)

I turned off Device/Credential Guard using Device Guard and Credential Guard hardware readiness tool

I rebooted, confirmed the change during boot by pressing F3.

But the WHP option remained during installation Workstation.

I also ran the command in the CMD bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off and rebooted. But it didn't help.

I also ran the command in the CMD dism /online /disable-feature /featurename:microsoft-hyper-v-all. But it didn't help.

Message about Hyper-v enabled remains during installation.

Please help how to disable Hyper-V and Device/Credential Guard?

This seems to hit a lot of people. I am not up to 24H2 yet, so I can only point you at other threads on  this topic that have helped some.

See here  and here for example.

gbohn, thanks, I followed the instructions from the first link and it worked for me. I did all the steps, it worked only after phase 3. Workstation Pro installed without any additional requirements regarding Hyper-V or credentials. My virtual machine has no performance issues.
