  • 1.  XP Disk Clean Up - Compress Old Files

    Can someone tell me the Pro's and Con's of using the MS Disk cleanup tool and specifically using the compress old files selection within? Does this have a detrimental effect on the VM? I want to use it to clear diskspace and seems to work pretty well. 32bit OS 4GB RAM, 2CPU

    Thanks WeinStein, So you are saying presuming that XP just removes the older DLL's etc.. that the system hasn't accessed in a while and any other temp files etc... this shouldn't effect performance or anything
